When the Cleveland Crusaders folded n 1976, the franchise headed to Miami to become the Florida Breakers. The ill-fated squad was quickly shuffled to Minnesota to become the "new" Minnesota Fighting Saints.
This is the Anniversary of One of the Most Important Days in Hockey History. In 1972 Bobby Hull announces he'll leave the Chicago Blackhawks to sign a $1,000,000 contract with the Winnipeg Jets of the fledgling WHA.
The WHA went from fantasy to reality -- and the game would never be the same.

"Truthfully, I had the toughest job on the line. Bobby and Anders both wanted to score goals.
If I passed to Anders for a goal I heard it from Bobby.
If I passed to Bobby for a goal I heard it from Anders.
When I took a shot I heard it from both of them."
